The deadline for submitting your requests to us has now passed. You may still complete the following preliminary course request.

The information you submit will be placed in an Orientation packet for you, and may help your advisor to determine appropriate courses for you to take. However, we can no longer request classes for you. As you have missed this deadline, you will register for classes during Orientation in July.

Congratulations on your acceptance to Virginia Tech. Your Virginia Tech Orientation starts now! This website is designed to help you, a beginning University Studies student, request courses for your first semester (Fall). All the information you need to complete the process is on this website.  Students please complete the request by Monday, June 8.

If you have not already obtained a Virginia Tech PID and signed up for Orientation, please go to the Virginia Tech Orientation website and follow the instructions there. Then return here to complete this online form.

Your selection of courses on the following web form is a "request" process: you are not guaranteed to receive these courses.  At Orientation, you will finalize your schedule with assistance from an advisor.

This Course-Request process requires you to

  • Choose a possible major or area of interest, and then

  • Begin the process of requesting courses for your fall class schedule.

  • There will be additional courses available during Orientation in July.
