Applications/Information for Transferring into Majors
- AHRM: some majors accept transfer applications only in September and February. Information session: Tuesday, February 6th, 5:00-6:00pm, Holden Auditorium (Room #190)
- Architecture (check with department for application dates--usually late January to early February)
- Business applications for:
-- ACIS, BIT, FIN, MGT, or MKTG
-- Hospitality & Tourism Mgt
-- Economics - Communication (Applications are available in Shanks 154 and will be accepted during course request week (October 16, 2007 - October 23, 2007). Applications should be turned in at 154 Shanks Hall.)
- Engineering
- History: accepts transfers from September 17 to September 21.
- HNFE: has become "restricted."
- HTM: is no longer "restricted."
- Interior Design (check with department for application dates--usually late January to early February)
- Industrial Design ( (check with department for application dates--usually late January to early February)
- International Studies: transfer requests will not be accepted from first-semester students. Has become "restricted" -- see bottom of linked page.
- Landscape Architecture: applications available in 121 Burruss Hall, or email Teresa Phipps at tphipps@vt.edu. LAR is now conducting interviews with Prof. Katen (program chair) for students interested in applying for transfer into LAR. Applications are due 2/15, but they would like to schedule interviews before the cutoff date. Those interested should contact Ms. Phipps to schedule a meeting time.
