Information Sessions

Whenever a college, department, or professional program informs us that they are holding information sessions to acquaint students with their areas of study, we will list those sessions here:

• AHRM: Tuesday, February 6th, 5:00-6:00pm, Holden Auditorium (Room #190).
  -- AD/MM, Housing, and RPM: transfers will be accepted during February (101 Wallace).
  -- RPM Career Fair: March 13, 9 am to 2 pm, The Inn at Virginia Tech.
• Business: Information session for University Studies students will be on February 25, 5-6 pm, in Pamplin 1045. 
• Biology: this spring from Feb. 18-22nd ONLY.  Meet with the Biology Undergraduate Advising Office prior to the week of the 18th for initial assistance.
• Communication : informational meetings on 2/21 and 3/12; transfers accepted during Course-Request week only (March 18-25).
• Elementary Education: Sessions for undergraduate students interested in learning about the elementary program, including the checklist for eligibility in the program and general information on the operation of the program.  Sessions for Spring Semester 2008 will be held in room 118 War Memorial Hall on:

  Friday March 14: 3:30-4:30
  Friday April 11: 3:30-4:30
  Friday May 2:  3:30-4:30

  Please bring your transcripts if you have questions about meeting prerequisite course requirements. Please contact Troy Jones at jonest@vt.edu by email if you plan to attend an information session.  If no one has indicated that they wish to attend specific sessions, they will be cancelled.

• Engineering
• History: this spring from Feb. 18-22 ONLY. 
• HNFE (in left column, click on Academic > Undergraduate)
• International Studies: Transfers will be done during Course-Request week only.
• Political Science: Transfers will be done during Course-Request week only.
• Pre-Professional programs:
  -- Pre-Med: January 30
  -- Pre-Law: January 24
• Psychology: avoid transferring during course-request week or the two weeks before.
